What makes Stico the most slip-resistant?
STICO Clogs are created with a combination of special rubber and ceramic powder compound plus a patented tread design which provides maximum slip-resistance. The unique rubber and ceramic powder compound grips the microscopic roughness of any surface, while the grid-pattern channels the liquid out from underneath the outsole.
Why are some outsoles more slip-resistant than others?
Different outsole compounds and tread designs create different coefficients of friction. Therefore, some grip the floor better than others.
STICO uses the best materials and technology in their products therefore you as a consumer do not have to second guess the reliability of its performance when you purchase a pair of STICO footwear.
Does ‘oil-resistant’ mean the same as ‘slip-resistant’?
No. Shoes that are slip-resistant are not oil-resistant. However, STICO shoes are oil resistant as well as slip resistant on wet, oily and soapy detergent surfaces.
How long will the STICO footwear last?
There’s no single answer to this question. It depends on how one uses their shoe. We have heard from numerous people stating that STICO footwear have lasted anywhere from 2 to 5 years!
Excessive walking on footpaths and bitumen will dramatically decrease the life of STICOS and we recommend wearing outdoor footwear to and from work/school and to wear STICOS only when in the kitchen.
Are your outsoles guaranteed not to slip?
Please remember that NO outsole is 100% slip-proof. It is important to combine STICO footwear with proper floor maintenance to achieve maximum slip and fall incident reduction.
Exposure to high heat can cause your Sticos to deform and distort.
-Do not expose to sources of high heat such as stoves and open fires.
-Do not store inside your car or car boot in warm/hot weather.
-Do not clean with water that exceeds 40 degrees celcius.
-Regularly clean the sole of your Sticos with a soft brush or towel to maintain the slip-resistance of your Sticos
